EXPERT WITNESS
DANIEL E. WILSON, CPP, CFE
Biographical Sketch
Daniel E. Wilson, Certified Protection Professional
and Certified Fraud Examiner, is President and
Senior Consultant of Asset Protection Associates,
Inc. Mr. Wilson is an expert witness in security
and has testified in a number of court related
security cases. Mr. Wilson is board certified
by the American Society of Industrial Security
and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Mr. Wilson has published a number of articles
pertaining to personnel identification programs,
travel security, industrial espionage, hotel/motel
security, security officer training, and prevention
of violence in the workplace.
Mr. Wilson received his Bachelor and Masters
Degrees from Eastern Kentucky University. He is
a combat veteran of two tours in Vietnam, a paratrooper,
and retired as a Colonel in the United States
Army Reserves after serving 28 years in military
intelligence and infantry assignments. His last
active duty assignment involved developing the
Army's first Protection Against Terrorism program.
Mr. Wilson's civic contributions have included
service as an adult Scout Leader; member, Board
of Directors of The Employers Association; member,
Central Piedmont Community College Safety and
Security Academic Advisory Committee; member,
North Carolina State University Security Management
Advisory Board; member, South Carolina Governor's
Commission on Criminal Justice, Crime and Delinquency.
Mr. Wilson has also served as Regional Vice President
of The American Society for Industrial Security
and as Vice President of the North Carolina Association
of Private Investigators.
